High Rise Fire Injures Four

COOP CITY, BRONX, New York– Four individuals are being treated at area Hospitals after being injured in a high rise fire in Coop City, Bronx. FDNY Officials received calls for flames showing from the 5th floor of an 20 story building on Baychester Ave. When FDNY Members arrived at 900 Baychester Ave shortly after 10 AM, members got reports of Four people trapped including children. One child was taken to a local hospital with CPR in progress per FDNY Radio Scanner chatter. The fire was placed under control around 11: 30 AM and the investigation into the cause is underway. One child is in serious condition, Two other children are in stable and One adult male is in stable.
