Three Alarm Fire Displaces Brooklyn Residents

EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn, New York– FDNY Fire Marshall are investing after a fast-moving three alarm fire burned through a home and brought about 150 firefighters to a Brooklyn neighborhood to battle the flames. Around 1230 PM firefighters received multiple calls for a fire in a private home on Atlantic ave. When firefighters arrived the came upon a fully involved home at 275 Essex Street. Firefighters battled heavy clutter conditions and were forced to operate at an exterior attack because of collapse in the structure. The fire was declared under control around 2 PM and Fire Marshalls were requested to the scene to investigate the cause. One minor injury was reported for a member of the fire department who broke his foot.
