Police Shoot Man Who Had Restraining Order In Central Harlem

CENTRAL HARLEM, Manhattan, New York–NYPD is currently investigating after a person displayed what cops thought were a gun at them causing them to shoot him once in the backside. Police responded to calls of a person with a gun. When the officers arrived at 243 West 146th Street they found a caller who described the person with a gun and said he would be on the 4th floor of the building. The officers made their way up and when they arrived at the 4th floor the officers encountered a male. The male refused to take his hands out of his pockets and used his wallet as if it was a gun. The male was not supposed to be at the location due to a restraining order against him at the time. Cops ordered him to drop what they thought was a gun and shot him when he pointed it at them. The male was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and was in stable condition.
